Local clubs, parks and schools are encouraged to enter and stage a tournament for their junior players and Totally Tennis is a keen supporter of this annual tournament having had many squad players get through to play at SW19 in the past. The HSBC Road to Wimbledon competition is the biggest junior tournament in British Tennis and gives all 14 and under players the opportunity to progress through to compete on the world famous grass courts at Wimbledon. Last month’s winner Chi Chi Okafor was fourth, Dylan Jones fifth, sixth place went to Jack Morita, Diego Visuals and Mikun Adeniran were seventh and eighth overall. In the Orange event, Hayden Cummings played really well to win all his matches making it three consecutive TT Tour wins in a row, Daniel Ward was in second place again this month and Carmen Visuals finished in third position. Megan Fisher, Henry Terry, Dinobi Okafor, Thorsten Richter and Rutendo Mufiri ranked from fourth to eighth respectively.ĭaniel Shattock was the Green event winner with Fechi Okafor finishing as runner-up and third place going to Tinuke Adelakun. The event, run by Head Coach James McIntosh, saw the young players competing in a series of singles matches against their West Hants opponents. The Totally Tennis Under 9 and Under 10 teams got their festive season off to a great start beating the team from West Hants Tennis Club, Bournemouth 47-45 in squad matches at the indoor centre.
